8) Take out the 2 screws holding down the D-Pad w/ your phillips screwdriver.

9) Push in the tabs to release the D-Pad. I am going to use the original D-Pad in the new controller because it fits tighter than the pad that comes with the controller shell.

 View Original
40) Put the bottom shell back on.
 View Original
41) Screw the shell back together using the 7 new phillips screws you received with the shell. If you did not get any screws, just use the screws from the original controller. Be sure not to over tighten them. Make sure the RB, LB & sync buttons all work correctly. If they do not want to click down, remove the screws and line everything up again. If you are having problems w/ the RB & LB pieces, you can shave a few pieces down, view the next few steps to learn this process.
 View Original
42) Note: Only do steps 42-44 if you are having issues w/ the LB & RB buttons. Below shows the pieces that need to get shaved off on the controller shell.
 View Original
43) Use a small sturdy pocket knife or exacto knife to shave these pieces off. You can even use a pliers and tear away at them, they come off very easily.
 View Original
44) Here is what the controller should look like now w/ that piece shaved off.
 View Original
44) Shave off both sides and the LB and RB should work just fine!

That was easy!
