he Xbox 360 has quietly received a $50 price drop on both the Arcade and Elite models at all stores during E3. This price drop wasn't announced by Microsoft (and could have spiced up their conference a bit if they had) but has become evident after major retailers such as Walmart, GameStop, and Target now list Arcade bundles at $149 instead of $199 and Elite bundles at $249 instead of $299.
This reduction is obviously to make room for the new Xbox 360 Slim model which is already available at stores now for $299. Cutting the price by fifty bucks on older models wasn't enough for some stores, however, and they are offering even more incentive for customers to buy a 360 Arcade or Elite now.
Walmart is offering a $50 eGift card to customers that buy the Arcade Spring Bundle for $149 which comes with two games (Viva Pinata and Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts) effectively reducing the price to a mere $99. The same bundle can be found at Target except with a $30 gift card (though this one can be used in stores instead of just online like the Walmart one).
The Elite bundle can be found in two forms, one with Halo: ODST and Forza Motorsport 3 included and the other includes Pure and Lego Batman instead.
