I just got a PSP-3000, the Ratchet Pack, from the Point GG. Awesome call, and I'm liking watching movies on it.

So, since GG doesn't stock UMDs, please let me know where you buy yours...

They used to have a reasonable selection at Best Buy. Honestly though, the movies haven't been real popular. I think they are focusing more on downloading and streaming video as opposed to the UMDs.

Reasons for lack of UMD movie in stores include:
1 The smaller capacity of the UMD discs necessitates that bonus content from DVD releases be removed in large part or entirely before the movie is released on UMD for PSP playback.
2 lack of tv output on the original psp compared to affordable portable DVD players that can output to TV sets and can play the full-featured DVD releases.
3 They cost as much as a full featured dvds.
4 It also never saw implementation on any device other than the PlayStation Portable
5 format's proprietary nature and the lack of writers and blank media has made adoption difficult As a result, the market is very limited compared to those for other optical media formats

UMD porno is rampant over in Japan. It has even sold more copies than UMD games during a given week.

The only place I remember really seeing them is at Gaming Generations.

I've seen them in both GG stores randomly. I'm in the Point store about 1-2 times a week, so I'll watch.

Otherwise, do what I do. Get a big memory card, and convert your DVD collection.
