An infection that make humans into monsters.......

--Graphics-- 7.0

Okay so this game is a PS3 tittle, but the game could have looked better. The overall look of the game is great, but the close ups tend to blur and shift out here and there. The grand scale of things are beautiful and distance shots are breathtaking. However the look of the weapons and overall "feel" of the game made me think of a time when jumping off a dam was better than looking at this.

--Story-- 6.5
This tale is one told again and again and again and again and i died. Really how many ways are we going to say "oh i'm immune to this infection and can use its perks for my own". I mean come on!! And whats worse is the whole guy meets girl thing. I like games that are action packed and bring you into the world, but lets start out by finding a girl and oh yeah, she is telling the story, that can't be a good plot start.

--Gameplay-- 7.5

When i first picked up my controller and started to walk through the streets of York, it was all good. Then i got shot and lost a full health bar. The game doesnt seem fair in any way, i always got hit hard and was in a rut after my 4th death in the first 15 mins of the game. I was starting to think the enemy guns were just that good, until i picked one up. The gun had little to no accuracy and still only hurt them like my Carbine. It was only later that i learned that the whole tagging thing was the way to go, but when i finally got good with that i found out that it don't help against them.

--Overall-- 7.0
The great thing about this game is that people who enjoy story will love it. Almost 3/4 of the game was cut-scenes, i really got bugged by the enemies perfect aim also. I would crouch behind a wall and still get hit from the enemy i was hidden from. The grenades would always be overthrown, and the spike 'nade was a pathetic attempt to make us like the enemy for it. Guns and frags aside, this game is better suited for the table, to stop the wobbling. I would just assume play the Deadliest Catch game again then ever playing it again.

I can't help but feel you missed the point of the game. First of all you are reviewing a game that is three years old. So, the graphics weren't as great as COD 4. Of course not! COD 4 came out a full two years later. You are comparing the graphics of this game to the current ones out on the market. I mean -WOW- the graphics for Resistance were better than Sonic 2.
True the plot has been overdone; however, it never gets old. Only over 100,000 people bought and played this game. Similar to RE5. There was a game that was a walking cut-seen. True Resistance wasn't the greatest game ever. Just remember when reviewing older games to put them into perspective. Graphics, sound, and gameplay should improve over the years. In my opinion, the game is at least an eight...probably a 8.5. Keep writing though.

I'd give it an 8 tops. It was a mediocre addition to the shooter family with nothing special to offer.
