Time to take the oil back...
--Graphics-- 7.5
The game brought forth a unique idea about an open world shooter, but the game was far from impessive.
I found the overall look of the island to be a great wast of time, it looked like the graphics were pulled from
Morrowind. In the greater scheme of things they at least put plenty of effort into the water, it looked quite real
at a distance. And had some great wave tech. but that was all i was impressed with, i mean come on im giving it a
7.5 based on the water, really. you know what im changing it to a 6.0 right now, man this game let me down.
--Story-- _._
I've given up on the rating system due to the fact that even the story was an incredible let down. It seemed to
follow the oil war and its constant bickering, really i could care less that China owend this island first then the
Russians claimed it, i mean, if terrorists were involved we could have sold it as an american game, jeez really.
--Gameplay-- 1.0
yup, lowest rating ever. I never thought i would ever hate this game as much as i do. This game is one of those
rare gems that begins out great with peviews that make you think it would be great, but then you get the game and play
it for five seconds and think that you just spent 60 bucks on the greatest pile ever. i can't even, think of the rest
game, oh wait, yes i can. I found that accuracy is a far cry from even video game standards. I would think that aiming
would be a simple point at the chest, fire three rounds, and at least one of them would hit.....nope. i unloaded a whole
clip on this guy and sure enough, my teammate kills him, one shot. WTH, i never found anything so annoying as my squad
and their lack of communication.
--Overall-- 2.nada
no, this game made me want to take a corkscrew, drive it up my nose and scramble up the part of me that remembers even
touching this game, in fact if anyone asks me if i played this game, i will find the nearest nerds bike and ram it up what
you call a tushy. If you do decide to purchase this title i recommend some elctro-shock therapy for afterward, also find
someone to slap some sense into you.

Allow me to shed some light on why you suck so badly at OF:DR...
Notice the bullet drop in most of the shots? This game isn't supposed to be a Call of Duty or Halo, it is a warfare simulator. If you get shot in the leg, you can't run very effectively. If you are shooting an enemy from a mile away, you won't be able to just point at his head and fire a one shot kill. I can understand the frustration, but calling a game terrible for doing what it is supposed to do, and doing it very well for that matter, is a disgrace. If you don't like it, that's fine, but don't even try to post that as a review. This game has flaws for sure, like a terribly weak story line revolving around taking back a nonexistent island that holds no tactical or real world value. Not the best game ever made, but most certainly not worthy of a 2 out of 10... _________________
