Okay, so I recently got the new Nyko Frontman Guitar for my Wii, and I have to say, it is much better than the Les Paul released by Gibson/Red Octane. The main reason that I found that I should have bought a 3rd Party product in the first place instead of sticking to the main 1st Party line, is because Nyko is a trusted brand. They release good solid products, like the Wii Remote Recharge-able Battery Packs. Both very good, very useful tools for your Wii. In fact, The Battery Packs are probably the best investment you could make for your Wii, seeing how Nintendo decided not to make them themselves.
Now, on to the Guitar.
Everything about it is just so much more comfortable compared to the Les Paul. I guess just having a fresh guitar makes everything better seeing how the Les Paul is about six months old, and starting to fall apart makes things easier to judge. At first, I didn't know what to think after being so used to the Les Paul, that it didn't feel that good. It just took some getting used to, and then everything flows naturally. The fret buttons are very responsive, and the most comfortable that I have every placed my fingers on.
The Whammy bar isn't calibrated properly at first, so after fixing it, it flows just like it should, along with the strum bar, which feels a little shorter, but more responsive, and comfortable, with the bigger grasp, and the easy to double strum space.
Now, there are only two downfalls to this guitar...
1. It only comes in two colors, and if you buy the white guitar (which is the only one I could find), it comes with a pink interchangable face-plate. Now why would you even consider changing black for pink?
2. The guitar doesn't come apart for storage. The one thing that the Les Paul has over the Frontman, is the fact that the neck is de-attachable. I figured this would seem obvious to Nyko, but it just doesn't seem like they wanted it.
All in all, this is the perfect Guitar Hero controller, no matter what system you buy it for _________________
