----------------------------------------------------------
Overview

As far as an RPG goes, this game is pretty cookie cutter material. And theres nothing wrong with that, right? AC/DC has put out the same album 14 times, and they're still rock legends. So not changing a thing can work for you.

I'm just gonna come out and say it, I'm not an RPG player, nor am I a fan. But I do respect the genre. I have a lot of patience for things in life. Women, waiting for a beer at the bar, women, waiting in line to use the can at a bar, women, and a Nickelback song to end. Cut scenes to set up fights, tons of reading....not really my thing. I will say though, the compelling element of this game to me are the characters. Kaim, the immortal who has no idea how he got to be that way, searching for a past he doesn't remember. How does that not pull you in?

Everything in this game looks amazing. Its a next gen system, it should. There is nothing that makes this game stick out from other RPG's, besides the characters. One thing I did like, and it took me a bit to get used to it, was the special aim feature. In battle when attacking, a ring surrounds your opponent, it you hit the Right Trigger at the right time, you get to inflict more damage. Last time I checked, thats a good thing.

This game is loooong. 4 discs? Yup, no way I'm gonna have the time or patience to make it all the way through over the course of a month. So if you do finish, let me know how it went. Oh, and if any of your discs are scratched straight out of the case, blame Microsoft. R-tards thought it was a good idea to put 4 discs in a regular game case. Get it resurfaced at Gaming Generations if you come across that problem.

RPG players, you will enjoy this game. Give it a go. The time you put in it will be worth the $$ you drop on it.

lol, lovin that review. Spaz's days reviewing these types of games are over... From now on you'll be playing everything except RPG's Smile

I'm not gonna comment on my thoughts with RPG's.

RPG's are my favorite genre of games. I just got this game. It is great in my opinion. Kind of strange that they brought in the the "turn" fighting mode where you take turns fighting, but oh well. Great story. Quite depressing too lol.

I've been playing this and I keep having trouble with it freezing up my 360. For a while I thought it might be my disc drive, but Ninja Gaiden II didn't have any hiccups at all. Come to think of it, maybe I should check to see if the discs are scratched a bit...

It's definitely good as far as JRPGs go. The Skill Link thing that the Immortals can do is an interesting game mechanic.

So, I just finished this game. It was alright, but it wasn't anything special.

The fact that you aren't able to just go exploring the world until the 4th disc was annoying to me. Also, the end boss was easier than a minor optional boss, which annoyed me.

In total I played this game for 83 hours even and the disc skipping was enough to make me hate any extended period of story simply because I didn't want it to shut off and lose all my playing time. I'm not sure why it took me so long to beat. I didn't find everything. I think a lot of my time was spent running around randomly fighting things while trying to find stuff. The fact that I couldn't find anything to decrease or eliminate random battle was definitely annoying...

After checking, the discs have no scratches in them and yet for some reason this game is the only one my 360 has had trouble playing. Like I said, I beat Ninja Gaiden II with no problems and I've been playing Timeshift with no problems.

Anyways, if I was going to review this game I'd probably give it around a 7.5 rating. It's simply average.

Wow I'm surprised^^. I've been working on this game recently. Just got to the second disc. At the moment I'm stuck in the sorceress's mansion.

But I just absolutly love this game. Probably ranked #2 for favorite games behind Oblivion.

4 discs, quite emotional memories, great story, I'm liking the turn base fighting style, great voice acting, Jansen is hilarious, and it is very creative.

It definitely has great moments. Jansen was easily my favorite character. The dreams were actually one of the more interesting and better parts of the game.

I guess I might give it a higher score if the discs I was using didn't suck.

Have you had any problems?

No problems at all.

Ya I think Jansen is the funniest character of all video games in my opinion.
