ok well i went to best buy for the midnight release for guitar hero world tour and then when i started playing at like 12:30 i felt like i didn't even want it. it took a little while to get use to all the stuff that i had to create like a band name, band logo, character and not to mention the recording studio ok well i played through most all of the career mode with a singer drummer and guitarist and it was fun but alot of the songs were ones i didn't ever hear of. the first song i accually recocnized was the first encore. the whole world tour thing is a little different the way that there isn't the same amount of songs on every venue the first few have like 2-3 songs and the ones later have about 5 but the drums work well and one thing i have yet to try is to use my rock band pedal for the guitar hero drums i hope it works because the guitar hero pedal is too easy to push there is almost no resistance and it only goes down like a half an inch but the new guitar is pretty sweet it took me a bit to under stand the touch pad on the neck but there are special solo parts that sound amazing i pretty much just freak out and slide my finger up and down the board and the new star power button is very nice i can hit it while laying down and playing and never mess up yay well there are a couple of famous people in this game like the guitarist from smashing pumpkins and jimi hendrix and also ozzy ozbourne.. now about the prviously mentioned studio i have yet to figure this thing out i tried and epicly failed
but thats alll i have on this game _________________

I also bought Guitar Hero World Tour recently...and it was an experience.
I purchased the package with the game and the guitar since I already had the RockBand set.
Out of the box I was excited to play GHWT but I was less than joyed with the game.
The touch pad on the controller didn't work properly and caused me to hit notes when I tipped the guitar up to use starpower.
not to mention that I couldn't get solos with it because it kept droping notes. I then put that controller down, and play most of the game with the Rockband controller. This worked until I took it back to get a new one.
My first impression is that I don't really like the character creation system, maybe I'm just too used to RB, but I guess I didn't see it as good. The songs pretty much where easily beatable all through. Now I play hard guitar, but on RB I can't even play more than 3/4 of the songs on hard or I fail. GHWT had me play Hard all the way through, without failing, I went red a couple of times, but never failed. Some of the songs that are in both games are actually easier in GHWT, which I though was going to be the complete opposite. Not to mention, Guitar Hero 3 really had you into really awesome rock songs that you could groove, dance, and sing along with while you played. Playing GHWT I was less than thrilled with the energy in the songs.(Example, Nirvana)
Now I never had the pleasure of using the drums, but from what I had read on the RockBand/GHWT fourms, the drums apparently fall apart and no one is safe. Guess I dodged that bullet.
This wasn't what I was expecting I guess, if this game had come out right after GH3 and RB had never hit the market, it would be a sucess, but my opinion, RockBand did it first, and RockBand did it better.
7/10
I guess I kinda had fun, but I'm sticking with RockBand - I think they do it better |

I haven't played the game yet but I read the song list and a lot of them are great songs, maybe you should look them up. _________________

It's got a pretty decent song list, but like always they chose some really dumb songs to go on it. There should not be a song on any guitar hero game that people have never heard of, or just stupid songs like Blondie, come on! _________________ Old School is where it's at.

| STUPID SONGS LIKE BLONDIE! Blondie ROCKS! Though some of their songs are weak for different games. |

See thats the thing, you don't like Blondie and don't think it should be on there, but not everybody feels that way. What I don't like is when they put songs from local bands or their own bands on there. I don't give a crap about some band from the east coast that plays at your favorite bar every thursday night. _________________ completed reviews
