Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is probably the most popular online multiplayer game at the moment. So it is no surprise that the MW2 tournament maxed out w/ 64 teams; we had to sadly turn away some players for this event. Many returning teams from our Jan. 30th CODMW2 tournament were back in action, including top teams KLRZ & We Are Superior. It was the returning Team KLRZ that took the top prize, a much deserved win after placing 3rd in the last tournament. You could easily tell they had been practicing and improving their skills over the past few months. Our former champions, "We Are Superior" battled to hit the top 8, but lost an epic battle to Beat Down Crew, who came back from a huge deficit in the last game. Overall there were some bumps and hiccups but the matches and fierce competitiveness of the players showed why CoD MW2 is a great game.
1ST PLACE Team KLRZ
2ND PLACE Team Almost Evil 665
3RD PLACE Team Infected

Halo 3 Tournament
The Halo 3 tournament was full of surprises along with some great match ups. Way BIGGER fought their way back from a deficit in the championships to take first. Congrats to Dubay, Chaikuh, vbeam, and skillspimps from team Way BIGGER, your skills truly are superb. Second place was New Dawn who got to the championships with winning the winners bracket finals. Team 715 had an impressive showing letting everyone know that they are no push over. The tournament was a great success with around 30 teams competing for the right to be crowned Focus Fire champions.
1ST PLACE Team Way Bigger
2ND PLACE Team New Dawn
3RD PLACE Team 715
4TH PLACE Team War Before Peace

Super Street Fighter IV Tournament
Over 75 players, both local and distant showed their skills at the new Super Street Fighter IV. The game had just released on Tuesday, so there was very little time for practice with the new characters. Many players who attended last year's Street Fighter IV tournament returned hoping to be crowned the next G.G. Street Fighter champion. The Minnesota crew, who dominated the brackets last year again showed Wisconsin that the true Street Fighter players come from MN. Munn3yx's balrog & Shia's Dudley was not enough to put down John Baka's Ryu, who was simply unstoppable. John Baka tied for 7th place at last year's event, this year he came back with his game face on. The sportsmanship this year was great, even people losing smiled and seemed to be having a great time. Songo, Minnesota's biggest Street Fighter enthusiast of course raised a few eyebrawls from Wisconsin players. Many thought he was drunk and talking nonsense, but nope, he doesn't drink, he's just that big of a fan for his Minnesota players.
1ST PLACE !! BAKA !!
2ND PLACE Munn3yx
3RD PLACE Shia

Madden 10 tournament
This was our 3rd Madden tournament over the past 3 years. Although Madden events never seem to attract a lot of people, it is a game that we felt needed to be added to the venue. Some of the most competitive players compete in Madden. We were lucky enough to attract one of the nations top players to the event. His name is Zac and he is from near Eau Claire, WI. He has been invited to many of the nations top events, including one @ the football hall of fame in 2009 where he place 9th place against top players throughout the country. There were some very close games & other great players, but in the end Zac looked as if he was a step above the rest.
1ST PLACE Zac (Oakland Raiders)
2ND PLACE Brock (Minnesota Vikings)
3RD PLACE Fred (Packers/Titans)

Thank you very much to all who attended Focus Fire. With attendance being 600-800, we will most definitely be having another event in the very near future, hopefully even bigger. Thank you to all of the players who showed up, and also for waiting so patiently. This was by far the biggest tournament southern Wisconsin has ever seen. A big thanks to the Library & all of our sponsored vendors and booth vendors for attending this event. A BIG thanks goes out to Altra Federal Credit Union and Steve Low's Midwest Toyota Scion. Their wonderful donations made the prizes worth while. Another big thanks goes to all of our other sponsored vendor's who also donated some very nice items.

I would like to thank Gaming Generations for setting up this awesome tourney. It may have taken one of our Saturdays away, but for our team, (KLRZ) to get first place in Modern Warfare 2 is an honor and we shall see everyone at the next Focus Fire. #1 Team Ever KLRZ
yea the only thing i didnt like was how people were trying to say they new the tournament mlg rules when they have never been to one. but they were acting like they read the rule book last night. that **** was *******me off. if u go to an mlg and say u cant rocket catch or nano your gunna get laughed at. it one of those things that if u dont do it ur gunna suprise sum people. its not hard to learn but some people dont want to take time and learn. they want the AI to play the game for them.
hahah
well i got that off my chest! great tournament guys!
its was a good tournament but sorry to see my friends WaS get out earlier in the tournament although i wouldn't of wanted to play them in the semi finals, but i am glad my team got first prize - Team KLRZ Thanks GG and all the other sponsors
