- Black Ops Specific Rules -
1. Each round will consist of a best-of-3 series. If two teams meet up in the Losers Bracket after having already played in the Winners Bracket, the series will be extended to a best-of-7 continuation series.
2. Teams will be seeded randomly using the excel formula =random()
3. The higher seeded team will choose if they wish to host 1 or 2 games. The team that is not hosting the game will choose which side they wish to play as.
4. Teams may not move after the game starts until the referee at their station tells them to. This is to avoid any advantage the host team has by spawning before the other team.
5. The host will be responsible for making sure all gameplay rules are set. If the settings are wrong, the first time will result in a warning, all subsequent occurrences will result in the forfeiture of the game.
6. Using a banned weapon, item, or perk will result in a forfeiture of the game.
7. Each player is responsible for setting up their classes for the entire round before the start of the first map. Players will not be given time to change classes between games. Doing so may result in their team playing the game with less than 4 players.
8. Team Deathmatch games that tie will be replayed with a 5 minute time limit. All subsequent ties will be replayed with the same 5 minute time limit.
9. Any disputes about gameplay, or about a referee’s ruling must be brought to the attention of the tournament director before the start of the next round.
10. The gametypes must be played in the same order that they appear on the gametypes by round sheet.
- General Shooter Rules -
1. Players must use wired controllers for all shooter tournaments. Split screen will be used for the first 4-6 rounds.
2. Teams/Players that wish to use headphones/headsets/Astro Mixamps at the event may do so. The players/teams are responsible for hooking up any cords they need to and will only have the 5 minute check-in period before a series available to do so. If a team cannot hook everything up in that 5 minute period, they will not be allowed to use their headphones/headset. Players may not use wireless headphones or headsets.
3. Players cannot use a headphone that requires a power outlet, but may use headphones that require USB power if there is an available USB port.
4. During the Free For All, players are allowed to use their own headphones/headset. If both players at the TV wish to use headphones and neither player has a splitter, neither player will be allowed to use their headphones.
5. Communication between players or spectators during the FFA will result in that player being eliminated from the tournament.
6. Trying to manipulate the bracket in the FFA or 4v4 competitions will result in the player/team being eliminated from the tournament.
7. Players may not unplug anything from the Xbox 360 or TV. They may use any available USB port or bring a USB splitter to increase the number of USB ports on the 360 console.
8. Players must play the gametypes in the order that they are listed on the gametypes page.
9. Teams will be seeded using the Excel formula =rand()
10. Rounds will be a best-of-3 series. Teams that meet in the Loser’s Bracket after playing in the Winner’s Bracket will play an extended best-of-7 series.
11. The higher seeded team will choose to host 1 or 2 games before the series begins. The team that hosts one game chooses the game they want to host, the remaining two games are hosted by the team that hosts 2 games. In the event of 2 teams meeting up in the Loser’s Bracket, the Team that won the Winner’s Bracket match will choose to host a potential game 7 tiebreaker. The team that hosted 2 games in the Winner’s Bracket will host 1 game in the Loser’s Bracket. This results in a 4-3 host advantage for one team.
12. Teams must report to their assigned station within 5 minutes after matches are announced. If a team does not report within 5 minutes, they forfeit the series. The full team must be present to not forfeit. This 5 minute time period is also when players may hook up any headphones/headsets. If a team cannot hook up their headphones/headsets in this 5 minute time period, they will not be allowed to use them.
13. Teams may not start a game without a Referee’s permission. Games started without a referee’s permission will be replayed regardless of the outcome.
14. Teams may not replace a player or coach after they register and check in. Players should plan on being present for the entire tournament. If a player must leave the event for any reason, their team will forfeit any future matches.
15. Players must use the same Player Name for the entire tournament.
16. If a player/team has any complaint or concern about possible cheating by another team, it must be brought to the Tournament Directors attention before the start of the next series of matches. This includes disputes of CTF game times.
17. Excessively taunting the opposing team or spectators, or using profanity will result in a warning. If a team accumulates 3 warnings over the course of the tournament, they will be eliminated from the tournament.
18. Spectators may not taunt or communicate with either team while the match is in progress. If they do, they will be asked to leave the station. If they continue to break this rule over the course of the tournament, they will be removed from the respective tournament area and not allowed back for the rest of the event.
19. Threatening or attempting to harm another competitor or spectator (asking them to step outside, throwing controllers, etc…) WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Doing so will result in your team being eliminated from the tournament and your being removed from the venue for the remainder of the tournament.
20. Abuse of any tournament staff may result in being removed from the venue.
21. In the event of equipment failure (TV/360 losing power, etc…) The game will be restarted.
22. Players are responsible for their belongings for the duration of the event. Players should realize that many Xbox 360 controllers look the same and a distinguishing mark may be used to prove ownership.

dang!! Going big here Gaming Generations. I like it! I'm sure I'll have a team ready for this tournament as well. Looks I am going to have to get some serious gametime for "black ops" before the tournament. I hope it comes down to WaS in the Finals again |

Black Ops tourney should be fun, for the simple fact that the game will only be out for a month.
Ill have to put in a time off request soon.
Also, once Reach comes out, I will be looking for a team of two to partner with my roommate and I. We're each Halo3 50's, if interested, let me know. _________________ Show me respect, I'll show you respect.
