Bioshock was released in August of 2007, I however only got it a few months ago. After playing the game I thought it was a superb game, it had a deep storyline, great graphics, and a unique shooter style.
The game starts with your character in a small plane, this idyllic ride is ended when the plane goes down in the middle of the atlantic ocean, for no apparent reason, in 1960. Ironically your character is the only one to survive the crash. After swimming away from the crash your character finds a lighthouse out in the middle of nowhere. You climb up the steps and into the lighthouse. inside you find a diving sphere that takes you to the undersea utopia gone wrong; Rapture.
The graphics in the game are very good. Other than that the graphics on the whole are very good. But after playing the game for several hours straight the game will freeze every few seconds. This is an annoyance but can be fixed.
The physics in the game could have been better. A lot of times after you kill an enemy they fall with a low framerate kind of stutter. As well when their bodies are on the ground they have a wierd twitch, that sometimes looks like their waving. You eventually just ignore this because it's not that big of a gameplay issue.
The gameplay is good, though the shotgun feels a little weak. The other weapons felt very well. My favorite weapon especially is the cross bow. This game introduced powers in the game like lightning out of your hands. You get these by getting Adam. Adam is a stem cell like substance secreted by a sea slug in the game that allows people to change thier genetics.
Overall I would give this game a 9.5/10. If you want to see pics then follow this link HERE
