right now im debating whether i should buy a ps3 or 360. my brother had a 360 for a while but took it to college. i want the 360 for the online, but the ps3 for *free* online, and exclusive games like littlbigplanet. any suggestions, pros and cons, etc.?
(i put this in the ps3 section because im leaning towards ps3 right now)

I own both the 360 and PS3. Although I dont play the 360 online since I dont feel like paying a subscription to play online. I play my PS3 more than the 360, cause of the sequel games, MGS, God of War, etc. Graphic wise, both seem to be the same. Multi-platform games, do look better on the 360, cause they usually built on that structure and ported over to the PS3. But games like Resistances, Metal Gear Solid have some amazing graphics. Killzone 2 should be a real eye candy, but gotta wait til it comes out.
In the end, im more happier with the PS3 cause of its media capabilities. I do watch alot of blu-rays and Muxed MKV (Basically MKV - HD Movies/Animes) on the PS3.
PS3 for online isn't to bad, but does not compare to the 360. Especially with the New Experience... But hey its free... |

I can't really compare them, as I've never had a PS3, nor do I want one. So all I can really do is talk about the pros and cons of the 360.
The biggest glaring ugly bit to me is the cost for xbox live. It's not THAT bad, its cheaper than most subscription games, like WoW and the like. But whatever, there is a very large customer base and lots of people to game online with.
The console can stream music, movies and pictures from your home PC, which is nice. You can even stream and listen to music while playing games (most games it will disable the game's soundtrack while still playing sound effects)
There is also the benefit of being able to download TV and movies as well as linking the console to netflix, allowing you to stream movies on demand, which is probably my favorite part of the whole thing.
I've heard that most of the time the graphics between the two are comparable and that oftentimes multiplatform games look better on the 360 because they were written for that console and ported to the PS3. The PS3 is known to be notoriously hard to program for so depending on how the player base goes you may see less games being ported to it.
Less and less series are becoming exclusive to the PS3 as well.

Because math is probably his best subject, and he's still off.
I think it comes out to like $4.17 a month or something for the year subscription (it is still 50 bucks, right?) not counting whatever the tax rate is for the area, so it's not like it's an amount of money to really be concerned about.
Still, I wouldn't say it's better than PSN, although I don't think it's worse, either.
Besides, a good selling point in the PS3's favor is that emo doesn't play one.  |

$38.99 is for all common people's necesities simply $39.
Anyway, that's already obviously still more than $3/month because there's 12 months in a year, which times 3 is only 36.
That's pretty much $3.25 a month at that rate you got it for. |
